'Ello 'ello GDC blog, yet again. Today I am posting a song I just wrote called "Hold You Back" about, what else, a girl. Same girl all of my writing on this blog has been about. There is a lot of "what if" to this song because it's what I'm currently going through. Without further ado, more cheesy writing from me!
Hold You Back
Heat settles in close by the fire
Burning bright like the desire
To stretch out the last few coals
To make it last a while
Snow covers the old windowsill
As the curtains just stay still
To capture the beauty inside
To swallow a better pill
Because January will come and go
When you least expect the temperature
It will drop, and then before you know
There's no time for thoughts so regular
Let's go
I'll take you there with me
If you feel the need to leave
You don't have to let them hold you back
And I'll see to it you feel
Like you're real and free
You don't even have to ask

Ice colludes the trees we see
And then it gets the best of me
Hoping all this snow will reveal
The correct way to be
But it doesn't and it's just cold
Each second the tension grows
Have to act on this extremely carefully
Before it just grows old
I'll take you there with me
If you feel the need to leave
