..but I shouldn't talk about not-iPod things in an iPod related thread. 'pod lovers will dislike me and damn me to hell or something.

So.. here's something iPod related stuff. My cousin has an iPod. It died after a month. It was inside all the time, rarely used. She's had 3 different 'pods in the last 5-6 months. But she keeps buying them because they're cool. Cred to iPod for being cool.

She's got lots of MCR videos on it, to stay on topic. A little bit on topic at least. A teeny weeny bit.

Then she has to take more care of it. I have 3 ipods and none of them have ever died or broke.

Well, I had some episodes of How I Met Your Mother and The Conner Chronicles, but now I just had my vodcasts like; Diggnation and TRS.

My old ipod, without video, broke a week ago. So I'm finally upgrading. I'm going with my family on a road trip to see my brother graduate from his naval nuclear engineering school soon. So I'm gonna throw a bunch of movies on the ipod to help pass the time.

What do you guys use to convert movies for iPod?
I downloaded Videora, and it took 4+ hours to convert a movie

i fully recommend iPodME, it's simple easy and efficient, i guarantee you it's wesome.

I only have 3 videos currently on my Ipod; Pinhead Gunpowder-Westside Highway, The Green Day sidewalk interview and a random episode of Family Guy.

I use Videora. I haven't converted a movie in a while, but it didn't take that long.

I only have the Holiday video on my iPod.

I downloaded iPodME, but when I convert a video, I don't know where the files go
it says they're supposed to go into the folder iPodME is in, but I can't seem to find them.

wait, if you own a dvd can you put it on your ipod?
cause itunes wouldn't let me.

because is one exe file and nothing else, it goes just where the exe file is, for example, if the ipodme icon (not shortcut) is in my "programs", then the converted file is just beside the icon.

was it faster than videora?

Yes you can.
1) You need a program to rip the DVD on to the computer
2) You need a program so you can convert it to a MP4 or a MPEG-4

If you have a Mac "Handbrake" is the program to use that does it all in one.

as for PC try http://download.com they have heaps of free based software.

no, that site is to find software, i recommend you

Dvdshrink, this one is for backing up (copying) dvd's to your pc.

here's a guide to help you do it.

and then to convert to ipod format i strongly recommend iPodME, is just one single exe. file and is efficient and easy to use, and then just add the mp4. files to itunes, and that's it,
