New season is just around the corner and I'll open this for chatting about when we get closer to the time. We'll also have weekly prediction threads for results, just games to keep the interest going once the title is decided in late February.
There's a GDC Fantasy Football league again this year. I did shockingly last year so have some pride to restore.

Consider the Barclays Premier League 08-09 thread open.
So, Hleb, Flamini and Gilberto gone. Do Arsenal have a midfield this season?

Still got Fabs

But I just read that Wenger is searching for a midfielder

As long as Wenger gets a replacement for Flamini then Arsenal do have a midfield.

Liking the new thread!
I think Denilson is going to come in to the fold more this year, and i think he can be a good replacement for Flamini. Looked quite good at the end of last season.
We (Arsenal) could still do with another player or 2 though.
I like us to sell Adebayor and replace him with another striker, like David Villa. Although thats very unlikely.

Yeah, I like this thread too.
I think Samir Nasri is going to be a big part of the team this season. But I'd like Adebayor to stay...

While Arsenal are worrying about their midfield, I'm mouthwatering about ours: Lampard, Deco, Ballack, Essien, Mikel. And look SAF, 40% of them is under 30.

Yeah i'm not sure what the old goat was on about there. Chelsea, for me, prob still have the best players. I think Scolari is going to be good for them as well.

Not a hope of unitd winning the champions league again
Liverpool wont even be in hte UEFA Cup
Cardiff for the FA Cup!
And you gave the league cup to the mighty ARSENAL(the only 1 ill agree with)
The championship could be won by nearly anyone. I'd say QPR though they've got the next "Messi" on loan from Real Madrid
League 1 has to be Leeds or they might as well call it a day
Dont know whos good in league 2

Chelsea was brilliant today. The midfield Ballack-Deco-Lampard-Mikel worked really well. And 4 goals are always nice. So, top of the league for now

Catched the second half at Old Trafford and my compliments to the Toons. Unrecognizable compared to the fixture last year.
