Full Version: Question about power plan

I have a laptop, which is ironically always plugged in. ( I have a Blackberry for going places)

Anyway, I want to dim my screen, and I've been in the control panel and in the display settings and the only way to dim the screen is to put it on power saver. If it's on high performance, it's an eye scorching bright. I don't mind the power saver thing, but I'm worried about it slowing up my processor. Will it? Cause I want a dim screen but I also want a fast processor.

I understand dimming the screen speeds it up, my concern is that the power plan affects other things.
Billy
i know, it won't slow your processer down.
Marc.
Doesn't your lappy have a "FN" button when pressed with another button usually a sun with an arrow pointing up or down that controls the screens brightness I know my mates with laptops have these.

Also what model is it John? if you can tell me I might be able to help you out a bit more. Cause there is always a way to fix the brightness of the screen without changing the power settings.
