Anybody gonna go? I'm planning on going, but I haven't bought tickets yet...
FilmAdaptation
I'd go just for Brand New, but alas, I cannot.
spark in the night
Gogol Bordello! ah!
shucks, tis a slim chance that I would attend.
annie
I'm not indie enough to go to Lolla.
I know like, 4 bands on that list. That's not enough to justify dropping that much cash when I'm already planning on going to a shitload of other concerts this summer.
I'm already going to Warped Tour, Mayhem Fest, Summerfest, Ozzfest, & undoubtedly many more so.... I'm gonna have to pass on this one.
Pan.
Meh, I was never fond of the bands that play at Lollapalooza.... so nah.
FilmAdaptation
There's like 30 good bands playing, you guys are crazy.
annie
I don't doubt that they're good, but I've never heard of any of them. The only one I'd really want to see is Flogging Molly.
FilmAdaptation

Radiohead
Rage Against the Machine
Nine Inch Nails
Kanye West
Wilco
The Raconteurs
Bloc Party
Broken Social Scene

Flogging Molly
Explosions in the Sky
Brand New
Gogol Bordello

Really hope I get to go to this. Lineup looks pretty stellar.

...RADIOHEAD. Like a motherfucker. In Rainbows was the best album of last year, and I'm sure their Lolla set is gonna throw people into fits.

In Rainbows wasn't released last year.

Fuck, I'm stupid. Nevermind.

Am I the only person who thinks Radiohead is just a tad bit overrated?
Not saying they're bad. Hell, Green Day was overrated. But so many people are like OMFG RADIOHEAD=GOD!! and I don't get it. They aren't THAT spectacular.

Nope, I be with you on that, hence my list of albums I liked more than In Rainbows.

Eh...agree to disagree? I liked The Shepard's Dog as much as anyone, and the new Kanye and Modest Mouse discs had some great songs, but they weren't as good overall as their last couple of albums. Also, I guess "Back In Your Head" was a good single even though I'm not the biggest Tegan & Sara fan.

I totally agree that Radiohead are overrated to an extent...everyone blew a casket over Hail to the Theif when it came out and I still can't really see the praise. I used to dislike Kid A too but I turned around a bit...I still think there's some weakish songs on the second half though (except for Idioteque, which is probably the best song on the album.)

In Rainbows, however, is not only significant for the way it was released, with the pay whatever you want scheme, but it was an absolutely stellar set of songs that flowed supremely well together and were more stripped back then Radiohead has been in the past decade. I loved all of it.

But again, everyone's entitled to their own opinions. I'm just uber excited to see a great band perform at a great festival, end of story.
Pan.

I think Radiohead got way more praise than they should for the online release. They only did it to make a negative (a leak) turn into a positive (make money + EXTREME press). NIN are the only one's who've really gone all out and done it right.

I like In Rainbows, but (a) Yorke's voice gets to me after awhile and (b) I get kinda bored with it awhile in.

I think its okay every now and then, but I couldn't listen to it for a prolonged period of time without falling asleep or considering jumping off a bridge.

In Rainbows is not innovative, but Radiohead is generally a curious band so the album is not boring either. I love the mix and flow of electronic twists, guitarheavy songs, and the beautiful ballads. The lyrics on the albums are good too, and it suits them to have replaced the teenage angst with adult restlessness. I love it.

With that said, the line-up for Lolla looks good. I'd watch:
