I don't know about the best, but the worst must be 'Tails' from Sonic.

What a God awful sidekick that is. First of all he looks like a stuffed animal, and The Hedgehog has some serious business to do. He never keeps up with Sonic, always goes off-screen. And between getting himself killed all the time, he's ruining the game for you, by activating elevators and platforms.

And then he looks at you with those big innocent eyes as if he didn't do anything wrong.

Link is the best video game character of all time. Zelda can't be beaten.

LMAO I remember that too. Oh and when you would enter into the mini game to collect the chaos emerald by having to collect a certain number of rings in the tube thing he would lose all your rings for you to cause he has that lagged reaction to sonics movements.
