thoughts about it?
bands that you think are going to head line?
YellowMonkeyMan
I wish I could go to the Warped Tour, ever.

I hate all of you who are going.
Jewels!
Family Force 5, for sure.
They're getting huge on Warped.
marie1986
i want green day of course
but maybe mcr will head line or something
¿Whatsername?
Don't you think its a little too far in advance to be making a thread, especially if there isn't even news about the line-up, dates, or anything?

Hell no, I start getting Christmas catalogues in July, so what's wrong with getting hyped up about the next Warped Tour months ahead of time too? tongue.gif

I can't even BEGIN to list the bands I would like to see on it though.

Idk. They're a wee bit bigger nowadays.
TotalBasketCase13
I'm hoping Mayday will be on next summer's Warped, The Academy Is... are rumored.

If just those bands played it would be worth it for me.
rudiecantfail
Against Me! is confirmed and I am SOOO STOKED.
marie1986
when did you hear this?
rudiecantfail
On AP.net
Pan.
I wish MCR would be part of next year's Warped.

I'm looking forward to seeing Boys Like Girls, The Academy Is..., and Armor For Sleep at 2008's Warped.

Oh, and FF5 -- I didn't see them at this year's Warped, so I'm crossing my fingers that they'll part of next years.

I might go this year, but idk. Heat + mosh pits + assholes + long ass lines for water = injury and unenjoyable experiences.

it's not so far fetched...they've headlined before, and relatively recently.

idk who I hope will be there, but I can tell you who I'm a bit tired of: paramore and rja. paramore has just been on it too many times in a row now, i think they should give it a rest. on the date that I saw them at last summer, they just didn't seem to fit very well anymore. and rja simply isn't that good live.
IAmARevenant
I went in 2006. It was pretty good. I would've liked to go this year; there were lots I'd have loved to see.
123
Motion City was one of the best bands I saw on warped in 2006. Would be great to have them back. I think MCR is too big for warped now and so is GD, but you never know. I MUCH rather see GD on their own tour.

Its awesome that AM! are playing again, they will rock for sure.

I want to see Reggie And The Full Effect come back for real. They said they would do warped two years ago, but cancelled for '06 and '07.
I also would love to see New Found Glory again. Illscarlet must come back and coheed and cambria was rad this year! Pink Spiders should do it again too. I'd like to see some REAL hardcore at warped in 2008, like comeback kid and the bronx, those bands would be great. All Time Low put on a good show and Family force 5 was AMAZING at warped. They have to come back.

The Matches should come again, but put them on mainstage later in the day because their crowd wasnt that good and they deserve more. I want emanuel back on too. Less Than Jake, Big D and the kids table, NOFX! Silverstein, smoke or fire and the living end.

Warped 2006 was pretty much an amazing line-up. 2007 was great too, but i dont think it lived up to its hype. I still get to see amazing bands and have a great time though! Stoked for '08.

OH and bring back The Sounds!!

I could see Rise Against coming back on as a headliner. That would be huge. And I want to see Hellogoodbye on for '08 on a bigger stage too, I missed them in 2006 'cause they played too early on one of the smaller stages.

yayyy.
i'm getting exited already. it'd be so cool if Rise Against or Bouncing Souls play too.
i'm kind of hoping that Paramore won't play.
spark in the night
I agree with 123, Warped 06 was killer

I want to see next year...
The Matches
Billy Talent
Anti-Flag
The Living End
The Academy Is
The Subways
The Fratellis
Motion City Soundtrack
Ima Robot
Ok Go
woven_basketcase
^ thats a killer list.
that would be so good.

A) they're ENORMOUS now
B) they'll be in the studio

B) I wasn't aware of that, so it was not a consideration in my comment.

Whatsername868
^Yeah, AP magazine just announced that those are the first 18 bands confirmed.

I wanna see The Academy Is..., From First to Last, and We The Kings. And maybe The Color Fred. I haven't listened to any of his stuff, but I always thought he was amazing in Taking Back Sunday.
lift-to-happy-hour

WHAT! That's so sick. I mean, too bad that FFTL will be there, they tend to bring in a crowd that I don't like. Reel Big fish will be so a rad and Every Time I Die wall also be great. The Color Fred? Maybe Taking Back Sunday will be on there later I hope. Norma Jean puts on a good show, good to see them on there. The Bronx is amazing, looking forward for them.

I'm suspecting Brand New to play this year. They said they'd do it last year and it never happened. we'll see whos next...
Watoosh
Warped Tour is overrated. No doubt, I've had great times there, but it's only really worth going to if there are a lot of bands you want to see or you have lots of friends to hang out with who have bands they want to see or something, because no band ever sounds as good at Warped Tour and it's always hot as fuck when it comes here.
TotalBasketCase13
THE ACADEMY IS...!!!!! YES!!! woot.gif Fucking stoked. Its worth the price of admission just to see them.
marie1986
how much are tickets usually? the same for any city? i know it was 25 bucks general admission for the chicago show last year
woven_basketcase
^ usually about that.
123
Yeah, the tickets range from $20-$27. And they are all the same, always General admission, no special seating tickets or areas of course haha smile.gif

ooo forgot about rise against ... they would be great headliners.
agree with you on the matches- there was practically no one there b/c it was so early
and i'd love to see silverstein and the living end- those 4 bands along with mcs would be perfect for me smile.gif

totally!

I think the bands that really made warped tour an experience to remember where pretty much all of the ones in '06. I mean, 2007 was amazing, some great bands, but the lineup of 2006 was stacked! I remember seeing the early november and now I really treasure that because they broke up this year. MCS puts on a fun show, they played last and the whole crowd was just for them.

I want The sounds, Comeback kid, rise against, brand new, emanuel, less tnan jake, the matches, oh the list just goes on and on.

Another cool idea for a headliner would be Jimmy Eat World. I think the last year they played wrped was 1999. They are such an influential band in the scene and it would be so fitting if they played mainstage all warped tour. How great would that be?

And bring back reggie and the full effect!!
woven_basketcase
it' be so amazing Jimmy Eat World played Warped Tour. i love them to bits. wub.gif
marie1986

ehh im not too excited about these bands

ChibiLauryn
I'm excited for warped. I hope I get to go.
123
ok, seeing every time i die, reel big fish and the bronx is good enough already for me to pay for a ticket. this year will be sick.

My warped tour wishlist is:

The sounds
Anti Flag
Motion City soundtrack
jimmy eat world
comeback kid
set your goals
Reggie and the full effect
pink spiders
the faint
the bled
illscarlett
greeley estates
big d and the kids table
the matches
emanuel

but im just stoked to see whos announced next. Im happy with who I get to see so far
The One with the Yellowy Eyes
heh, it would be funny if fall out boy headlined... just imagine the outcry by the "hardcore" punks rolleyes.gif

No way, warped was getting outcries from the "hardcores" way back in 1999 when bands like Jimmy Eat World and Blink 182 were playing haha. Warped has only gotten better to bring us bands of today and some from the past. Its always been a way for new bands to get out there. History just repeats itself haha.

I cannot see the following headlining or even being on the tour:
MCR
Fall Out Boy
AFI

Simply because they are just too big. It's like having friggin The Beatles play a small festival tour. It doesnt really work that way. Warped helped bands like FOB and MCR become the bands they are today. They've moved on from warped to play bigger things and make WAY more $$$ than they would ever make headlining warped tour. AFI didnt even have that great of a time at warped in '06 and I just cant see them playing it again. I think even Rise Against is getting close to the point that if they went on warped, they would be one of the biggest things there, excpet I could actually see them playing it again.
Apperently the main focus this year is younger bands and up and comers along with some vets.
Kleptomaniac
I wouldnt get too stoked for paramore. they already played for the past 3 years and right now they'd be too big for it. mehhh. & its not my assumptions either, im taking this from other fans thoughts on LJ, and I kinda agree.

but im still gonna go no matter what. its still fun

Why would you go if your buds arent there and no bands that you like are performing?

I love ya, but think before you speak so you won't sound like an idiot.

Zomg, We The Kings!

WHY does my mom not let me go to festivals?!
