Cancellara won the prologue today. Not the biggest of surprises.
I don't really have a favorites for the yellow. I like Bernard Eisel the most, so I hope he wins a stage. And hopefully a couple for the Rabobank team.

What a great great win by McEwen. He fell down, had lots of ground to make up and the peloton wasn't going slowly at all. And in the end he won the sprint by a mile. After the race he said this was one of his best wins ever, and I understand why.

Is he the Australian?

He is indeed. But he lives in Belgium.

If anyone can watch today, I recommend to do so. It'll be a great stage in the Alps.

He could win another stage, but the green jersey is a bridge too far, I think.
Some great battles last week between Contador and Rasmussen. Eventhough Rasmussen cycles for a Dutch team, I have more sympathy for Contador. But it'll be tough to overtake Rasmussen.
edit: Just heard the news Vino was caught. He's out, as is his team Astana. Another black day.

i guess Menchov just quit, got off his bike and left the race

I'm going to stop watching cycling again. You can't trust anyone anyway.
All the people I like are drugged.

Cadel Evans is 23 seconds away from winning the Tour, and I don't see any Aussies cheering for him! But Contador isn't going to give this away anymore.
Ofcourse people will remember this Tour as the Tour of controversies. But I won't forget the most exciting battle we have seen for years.

hell of a ride today from the top 3 - Contador, Evans, and Leipheimer
first time the top three have ever been separated by such a small amount (31 secs) after the final time trial i believe
too bad the rest of the tour has been so full of controversy

Hope Cadel wins

from what i heard, Evans and Leipheimer have already conceded. the last day is traditionally a celebratory ride for the yellow jersey.
tradition or not, i'd think it would be hard not to try for the yellow jersey if i were only 23 secs behind (or 31 secs for that matter)

I don't follow cycling in the slightest. I LOVE mountain biking though. Powering down a massive hill getting covered in mud is pretty much the second best thing in the world after sex.
