The Almost is a new band.
The singer is Aaron Gillespie, the drummer from Underoath.
Check them out.

Never heard of them, but they sound cool!
I sort of like Underoath, but it's so hard to believe that they are a Christian band. Christian rock concerts don't have mosh pits. Hah.

I like The Almost. I think it's cool that Aaron recorded every instrument on the album.

Wish I could contribute that much to a topic.
I'm kind of mixed about them. I cannot stand UnderOath, but I'll give The Almost a fair shot.

i saw them in concert last night, they were excellent live. the drummer was walking through the crowd after their set and was incredibly nice. he stopped and talked to people and signed autographs, posed for pics, etc.

i saw them may 6... got some good pics... but NO ONE knew their songs.... maybe like 10 people, my friend and i included... most were just there for aaron. it was still fun though.
and apparently my friend n i were some of the only people who knew the song "amazing because it is" because in the chorus, he stopped singing , and all you could hear was us two singing obnoxiously. everyone in the band and crowd stared at us. it was hilliarious.

yeah evidently. i was surprised too. i found that out about Underoath the day before i saw The Almost. Aaron talked about Jesus a bit, but it wasn't "preachy" or anything like that, just stating his beliefs

^Yeah, when I saw UnderOath when they opened for Taking Back Sunday, Spencer (? lead singer) thanked Jesus.
People walked out on them after that.
I mean, I'm an atheist, and don't like the band anyway, but that's kinda rude

yeah, i agree, rather rude. the concert i was at was an open-air type festival, so it was kind of hard to tell if anyone walked out because of it, people were coming and going so much anyway. but the crowd did quiet down a bit, at least until he made some kind of joke about Jesus partying (i don't remember exactly what was said). it was all a bit surreal for the surroundings

The Almost is amazing. I actually like them better then Underoath. I'm normally not a fan of Chrstian bands, but these guys don't have all these songs that are like "I love God!!! Praise Jesus!" (I get tired of the too-preachy stuff real fast.) I didn't even know the Almost was a Christian band the first time I heard them, and their music doesn't really show it. They're just so good.
