i didn't even care if their voices suck. it's the atmosphere around it that makes it fun.

I have a live DVD too. I don't care if they suck. Just the fact that I'm in the same room as a band I enjoy is enough for me.

okay then. if you don't care if they sound like shit, fine. But I actually want what I pay for when I go to a show: a good performance. and good charlotte does not give a good performance.

oh, and not only the vocals suck, but the guitarists were all sloppy and the whole performance was basically a trainwreck on the dvd.

hell yes I have fun at a concert. When I went to see Green Day, I was having the time of my life(no pun intended). But part of why I had fun was because the band actually sounded GOOD.
I tend to notice if I don't like the sound of something. I thought all human beings were like that, but I guess you're not. If a band sounds as terrible as gc does live, it kinda lowers the fun rate for me.

and I also heard them on live 8, and that was bullshit. Plus, I have a friend who's seen them, and she said they were terrible.

I MIGHT check out some live vids on youtube or something, but there's no way I would ever see them. I'm not a big fan of being ripped off.

I paid $208 yesterday to see them live on September 16. I know it's stupid to have to pay that much, but I love Good Charlotte. Yes, they should have their own headlining tour. I definitely believe that. Also, they are AMAZING live. I saw them as my first concert ever and as of now, they are still my favorite concert. You can say they suck live all you want, but I think they rock live.

the touring with justin is probably a good idea.
more of his fan base would probably like them, so their cd sales would go higher.

I'd like to make it clear that I don't care if someone hates GC. I know more people who hate them than like them and I have nothing against those people. I love GC because they help me through a lot of things. Other people don't care and don't like them. That's perfectly fine. I've lived through the last 5 years knowing I like an outcast band. I like it too. It's like a flip side of Hold On or something. Like, looking at someone who has taken their life and saying how much that person is missed and how the person was actually worth something more than they thought. I don't know if that makes sense. I just kinda think it's another song along their line of giving hope. So, to me, the song almost sounds like it's saying 'don't take your life because all these people will miss you even if it doesn't feel that way.'

I think it might've been written for someone close to them? Maybe a close friend, or family member who was a fan of their music. I dunno.
