WTF does black have to do w/ anything with their song?
Black doesn't have anything to do with the song, i meant that term by the style of the song. Most rappers these days r black (and yes I kno their are white rappers out there) and I just thought that is what image they were tyring to portray in that song.
And I am not trying to be a racisit by using the word black and stereotyping a specific genre of music, so don't get you knickers in a knot over this.
I just don't like them and that is that.

is it your life goal to make people think good about Good Charlotte?

haha, I'm just kidding.
I just want people to think before they say they hate something.
As for the "black" comment, they've been using the brass knuckles logo for years (since at least 2002) and they grew up around gangs and such, so why is it so hard to believe they wrote that song?
To the Aussies, can someone get video clips of the stuff they are going to be in?

Here's more of that article (see the page before this for the beginning).
QUOTE
The band are soon to release their fourth album, the almost evangelically titled “Good Morning Revival”. You join us at a crucial time for Good Charlotte. 2004’s ‘Chronicles of Life and Death’ placed in the top 3 in the US. But it didn’t have legs. Whereas predecessor, ‘The Young and the Hopeless’ sold more than two million copies over there. ‘Chronicles…’ struggled to strike a million. This hardly signals the sound of wolves scratching at the doors, but still, it might well be that Good Charlotte are not as fresh faced as they once appeared.
“‘Chronicles…’ didn’t do as well as the album before that, you’re right,” says Benji Madden. “but is did something else for us – it established us as a band. That record was an amazinf experience for us. It took us to places we’d never been before – to South America, to Asia. Everywhere we went we played huge shows. That was the album where we went from a band who had hit singles to a band who had a career. That’s what ‘Chronicles…’ did for us, it gave us a career. It meant that we could continue making albums. Some of those albums may sell more than others but we’ll still continue making them. We’re not going anywhere.
'Good Morning Revival' is an album that sounds like Good Charlotte and no one else. It isn't emo. It isn't the sound of the mewling American middle class. It isn't a take on "American Idiot". It isn't even really a pop-punk album. It's a dance-punk album, a phrase the band like when it's put to them. It has references to Louis Vuitton and brass knuckles. It has songs about knuckleheads who never went to college, who never finished a book, but ended plenty of fights. It has beats and guitars. As an accomplishment it can be said to stake out a ground that is truly the band's own.
Which is good news. Because if People don’t like it, fine: its authors certainly do.
The 5 highlights from the new album table:
QUOTE
Misery
“Look at these plastic people, they’re dying inside!” sings Joel over a backdrop of choppy guitars in this ultra-catchy, hook-driven anthem. Unusually for Good Charlotte, there’s also a guitar solo.
Joel: “This is a song about being yourself in a world full of distractions and things that;ll supposedly make you feel better with a quick fix. It’s okay not to be perfect.”
The River
Featuring Avenged Sevenfold on backing vocals, this is another fists-aloft pop floorfiller, with Joel singing higher than ever before. GC’s most upbeat track to date.
Joel: “This is a song about redemption and it’s really about myself. It’s about being in Los Angeles in the last five years. At first, I lost myself.”
Where Would We Be?
With a plane riff that recalls Coldplay, this mid-tempo number provides a stately backdrop for Joel’s pleading vocals.
Joel: “Benji wrote this song. It’s about two people who are involved in other relationships, and the question posed is where these two people might be had they met each other under different circumstances. “
A Beautiful Place
Another Coldplay-esque track, framed by plangent slide guitars and epic synth atmospheres. A striking departure.
Joel: “This song is about me and my brother. We were very innocent before we had success with Good Charlotte. Getting successful with our band was definitely a pivotal moment in our development.”
March On
A touching album closer, born aloft by tenser falsetto vocals and delicately plucked guitars. The big softies.
Joel: “This is a pretty simple song for our fans. Some of the fans who think our other songs are sounding a bit different, this one they’ll really like. ‘March On’ is an old school song for our old school fans.”)
I really like the 5 highlights table. I absolutely love Misery, The River, and March On, so it's nice hearing Joel talk about the songs. I'm really interested to hear a regular version of March On now. I only have the acoustic that comes with buying the CD from Sony. I really don't want to wait until the 27th. The more I read about the CD the more I want it.

Are you saying you hate 'Chronicles...' or 'Good Morning Revival'?
I'm not having this argument again, but I want to know what you hate before I spout the record history again.
Anyway, if you dislike GMR, why? I haven't heard it yet, but it's supposed to be like nothing they've done before. I've heard it's a little bit of everything and that GC called much of it 'Dance Punk' so I'm a little interested to hear what it sounds like in all. KYHOMG had a little dance punk in it and a little alternative rock. Misery definitely sounds dance punk. Not sure about March On since I've only got it acoustic, but the River is a Rock song, plain and simple in my opinion.
