I had a dream about Madina Lake the other night, mostly about Nathan.

I woke up very, very happy.

the teets thing was hilarious the way he randomly came out with it.

God I had another dream about Nathan last night. I was walking around with him at my elementary school, and he said that it was his and Matthew's Birthday. Which is sort of weird, cuz I just found out that their real Birthday was May 6th, a little over a week ago.

I don't get why I keep having dreams about them though! I'm not like, an obsessed teenie that spends all day thinking about them. But I guess I don't mind it.

Anyway, have you guys heard of Nathan and Matthew's previous band, The Blank Theory? They're a little more hard rockish but they sound alright. (Wikipedia)

Ok, I just saw on their band site and on Myspace that their Birthday might actually be yesterday (the 13th), not the 6th. That's weirding me out so much, because that's the night I actually had my dream.

it's the 6th apparently. the 13th is the date Matthew and Nathan made up, because they are weird and don't want people knowing their ages. but on the ML forum it says it's the 6th.

i wasnt reli into them till i saw them at the k! tour and they put on an amazin show! they totally got the crowd goin way more than the other bands and the front guy(sori dunno his name) summersaulted and landed rite next to me!:D:D

and they were great at download. despite Matthew's bass not working, which i didn't even know until i read it on the forum i totally didn't notice.

they sent out loads of big bouncy balls, auspices they call them. i very nearly touched one. i jumped right up and reached with both arms but someone behind me hit it away i didn't get to the signing tent in time either. wasn't my fault. person who i was with didn't wanna get there early. but it was still a great day i have videos but i haven't bothered to upload them yet.

Madina Lake is my favorite band right now. I cannot wait to see them on warped, even though I've seen them 3 times already. they're just so good live. I met them every time. The first show they opened for RJA. The next was a headlining show and it was only 94 cents because of our local radio station! and the last time was with mayday parade.

The third time I saw them, I won this contest and got to go rock climbing with the band. It was so crazy! They are all so amazingly nice and fun to be around.

I've never seen them play river people live though. I don't know why they've never played it in maine.

Cool, thanks for posting! I think Pandora is probably my favourite ML song at the moment. I bought their album a few months back and I'm totally in love with it, you guys are so lucky to have seen them live.

So yeah I FINALLY saw/met them yesterday at Warped Tour! They were even more amazing that I thought they'd be. I got them to sign some things and talked to them for a few minutes; they had an interview with FUSE before they were at their tent and they'll be on Warped Wednesday soon. So I'm expecting one of you lucky people that gets that channel to record it and upload it for me.

I'm still feeling a little giddy from seeing them.




Same here, and guess what? They DIDN'T play it when I saw them. I was pretty upset about that. But they did play a little bit of a new song, and I honestly think it sounded really good.

yeh download festival is one of the biggest music festivals in the world i think. and it's a cover of march of the pigs by nine inch nails.

how did you meet them? where did you wait afterwards? it sounds like it's pretty easy to meet them, so many people have.

Yeah at Warped Tour it's no problem...I think every band that plays has a "signing time". You just have to go by their tent early in the day to check what time they'll be there.

It was a little difficult with Madina Lake, but only because they had that FUSE interview and they had no idea what time they'd be able to sign. I had to keep checking the tent all day but I caught them.

it's not fully out yet. he's just posted part of it on the ML forum here. it'll take you a while to read. i printed it out and it was 22 pages haha.

Lol I printed it out from a different site earlier and it was 15 pages...I read it all in one sitting though. I started their album right when I started reading, and it ended right when I finished. I thought that was pretty cool.

Right now I'm trying to find somewhere where I can download their songs from the AOL Sessions. Im lame and dont feel like paying. Oh and also a decent version of their March of the Pigs cover!

i dunno if this has AOL sessions in it, but there's lots of stuff to download.

the auspice thing is pretty awesome. I love reading it. it's about the town madina lake and the people who inhabit it.

Yeah, it explains the whole "Disappearance of Adalia," or more like explains the mystery of it.

It also tells you about the characters in their songs, like Pandora and the River People.

And this is my long description of rock climbing since some people have been asking about it. So, I won a wcyy radio contest to go rock climbing with them before their show. It was probably one of the best experiences of my life. Before we actually went climbing, we were just talking outside for a bit. I only ended up going up the wall 2 times in the hour and a half we were there. Anyway, I went up the wall while nathan held the rope in case I fell. I made it up fine, but when I was coming down he wasn't holding it hard enough or something and I fell almost the whole way until he caught it. He apologized like a hundred times and wouldn't stop hugging me, I guess he felt really bad. But I didn't mind the hugs After that, I watched Dan climbing on the ceiling, which was crazy! I'll post a pic of him upside down in the photo thread later. After that, we just sat around talking to Matthew and Nathan while the radio dj talked to Mateo and Dan. Matthew even offered to get us a cab to the show instead of walking all the way there! I though that was so nice. and that's pretty much it. It doesn't sound nearly as fun as it was. There's also some pics in the madina lake photo thread if anyone wants to see them.

No, thanks for posting your story! I love hearing about other people's experiences with bands. That's a really neat thing to win too...it's better than just a Meet and Greet before the show.

I was at Warped a few days ago and I had just got there and seen Broadway Calls and was looking for the Adeline tent when I walked by the Madina Lake tent and they were signing stuff, I decided not to get in line right then but as I walked by I saw Nathan look at me! So later I decided well I have nothing else to do I guess I'll go see Madina Lake, I liked the video for Here I Stand (and I had a crush on Matthew). I got to the stage and got as close as I could to the stage (far left about 3 people from the stage). And I was amazed, they were best preformance of the day. I sadly didn't get a chance to pick up there CD or get anything signed but now I can't wait till I get a chance to buy their CD and see them live again!

I should be seeing them at Warped today, but I have class tomorrorw so I can't go.

My friend got it for me because I wasn't able to make it out to Montreal for warped!

My other friend was running around behind the stage, and he ran into Matthew. Like, actually ran into him. (my friend's an idiot.)
Once he realized who it was he was like "My friend from Ottawa says hi!" Matthew asked what my name was and when my friend told him it was Carling he was like "Oh! I love her!" Hahahaha.
