The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus(who are similar to Hawthorne Heights, Emanuel, and Adair according to mtv): Duke Kitchens (vocals, guitar, piano); Elias Reidy (vocals, guitar); Joey Westwood (vocals, bass guitar); Jon Wilkes (vocals, drums); Ronnie Winter (vocals).Middleburg, FL's the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus were originally born in 2003. Winter and Kitchens are the only members from the bands original roster; the rest were discouraged because they hadn't had a record deal, and either left or were removed.Determined not to give up, Ronnie posted an online ad, and found Elias Reidy. Winter then added drummer Jon Wilkes while Reidy enlisted his former bandmate and childhood friend, Joey Westwood to play bass. Just a few months later, RJA signed a contract with Virgin Records.

Writing and rehearsing for about 18 months with no real intentions of performing or recording anything, the bandmembers were later urged by some friends to pursue their music seriously.

Well I bought this at Wal-Mart. Its like half the price there, then anywhere else.

Well any way there is a hidden track called grim Goodbye ( kinda like what green day did w/ all by myself). All the songs are good. Face Down, Cat and Mouse, Seventeen Ain't So Sweet, and Your Guardian Angel are slow-ish songs on the album.

Red Jumpsuit Apparatus performs a mix of pop-metal, emo, and hardcore, with songs like the opening "In Fate's Hands" and "Misery Loves Its Company" showing that the youthful outfit has already gained mastery of the impassioned rock anthem. The ballad "Cat and Mouse" displays the realization that life in the real world bears little relation to reality TV, while the rocking "Seventeen Ain't So Sweet" blends acute lyrical observation with hard-edged musical skills.

All songs are written by Ronnie Winter; all songs have either happened to Ronnie or another band member personally, or have happened to someone that the band knows very well.

I know some of the song meanings from the concert: Face Down- Girl has abusive boyfriend(because of this song, teens are getting help that wanna commit suicide).... in the end she breaks up with him...i hope so.The Take Action Tour that RJA went on, it's goal is to eliminate suicide in America. Theres a couple videos of Ronnie on Capitol Hill here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=rUanaEbCd9E and http://youtube.com/watch?v=8OsZvPttOLk.

Atrophy-About soldiers in Iraq.( notice the "They've sold you" and the "they've found a way to reassure you that everything will be okay" so there getting semi"political"(i guess you could call it that).

Seventeen ain't So Sweet-About Ronnies female friend struggling in the music industry.

Your Guardian Angel-
"I will never let you fall
I'll stand up with you forever
I"ll be there for you through it all
Even if saving you sends me to heaven.'"
Its is probably just a song about how far your willing to go for someone. Honestly, it is my all time favorite love song. The lyrics are so beautiful. But I am not absolutely sure.

Damn Regret- Basically about living life to it's fullest w/out any regrets(no brainer)

Overall it is the best album i have ever bought that isn't by Green Day. I've heard them being labeled any where from pop-punk,emo, to screamo and heavy metal.

I think you're suppossed to write a review of the album, PM it to Andres, and then he'll post it in here; not just post a poorly written biography on the band with a little bit of insight of the album in here yourself.

Anyway, I love this album, despite the fact that the thread sucks and will probably get closed.

Yeah, I don't really like that category that much either, but I like that they are a combination of all of those. I dont' really like it when bands are only one category(lets say hardcore for example), and when they make a acoustic song or emo song, then the fans call them sell-outs and other shit, so then the band doesn't experiment with other categories and types of music.

Good review!!!
Great album the songs are really awesome
My personal favorite is False Pretense, about being betrayed by a friend. Pretty much summed up the last few months of my high school career. It pretty much became my anthem and would listen to it all the time.
