Past - Pele or Moore, because both had great technique and composure on the ball.

Present - Henry, for the same reason.

I'm extremely biased.

It was suggested that the all time player thread wasn't sustaining itself as hoped, so I combined both ideas as it should create a better subject for conversation.

Paul scholes is the king of getting away with shit. Thats a skill in itself.

But Schmeichel is a true legend. I love it when he commintates, hes so genuine. And he has this weird but cute manc/foreign accent. love it.

hahaha that may be true, but scholesy is an awesome all round player, his movement is top drawer. his passing is sublime, and dont get me started on his shooting.

his only weaknes is his tackling, pretty poor at that.

When he was good he was very good, but like Zidane he overshadowed that quality through violent play.
I mean, diving into an old man in the crowd, thats inexcusible.

cantona was an awesome player...one of the best, but as katie said his game was marred by some awfully bad tackles, and of course that infamous attack on the palace fan.

and his response in the press conference? spout some philosiphycal (sp?) shit about seagulls, i mean what the fuck was he banging on about....fucking frog
