I went to a Catholic elementary school. Confession was never a big deal for me, I never did anything really bad as a kid. Or maybe I did. I don't know what guilt is, I don't think I've ever sincerely felt guilt over something. Basically during those confessions I'd just go through the motions, I didn't mind it.

I think I'm too lazy to be religious. It's too much effort for me to put into making sure I end up in a place that doesn't exist. You die, you get buried in a box underground, other living things eat your dead body. The end.

I've never gone to church, but my parents and brother believe in God. I don't think I believe in God, it's hard to think you just die and it's over, you want to think there's something after, and if there is then okay, but I think I'll believe that when I die. There really isn't any proof that God exists, before there is I just don't think I can commit myself to something like that.

I beleive that Jesus existed, but he was just a pretty cool kid who did some nice shit. not the son of god. I don't feel the need to have closure on every aspect of my life... it's interesting thinking about whats "out there."


on a different note, god camp is the greatest. 12 people who don't believe in god sitting in tents in the woods lighting up and laughing at the chapel lady. repeat.

im not an atheist, but thats what i tell people. I believe god created just like the starting point and everything just went from there.

I have some major problems w/ religion. I won't explain it all right now, cause it would take up too much time/space. BUT I am spiritual, I do believe in God, and He is what I want Him to be, if that makes sense. Religion gets people killed. Religion is the reason why half the people in the country stay away from churches. Religion. Religion and spirituality are two different things, in my opinion. Religion is rigid and unbending, judgmental, hypocritical. My own personal spirituality is forgiving, loving, bigger than anything else. He looks at us as children who get up and try to do better. I believe in the golden rule (which is Biblical. Do I think the Bible is wrong? Not entirely, but I'm beginning to believe that it was written by MEN, from their point of view, and doesn't necessarily mean everything in it is correct for everyone), to do unto others. But ya know, I'm not perfect, I'm gonna stumble and lose my temper and do/say things I shouldn't. I'll just try again. I'm not going to hell for it, and ANYBODY that tells you you are, is so full of shit they're floating in it. There's more to MY God than fear, oppression and hate. That is my opinion

I had a massive argument with one of my friends the other day who'd just read The God Delusion, who was making all sorts of ungrounded and implausible claims about spirituality and espousing all kinds of anti-religious rhetoric he hadn't thought through, which was vaguely irritating. It did make me want to read the book though.
