Full Version: What Would Make The Perfect Album For You?

Punk Magic
For me, it would have to gel together, the songs would link in some way or another. Not sound the same or any thing, just sort of link... Gah. I know what i mean. They couldnt just be completely random, and one song be about politics and another about drugs and shit. Wouldnt seem right to me. Would have to have the basics, singing, drums, guitar and bass. I wouldnt want a certain instrument to over power anotheer, or for the singing to be ten times louder than the music itself.

What about you lot then? happy.gif

P.S. I searched happy.gif I'm a good girl, *pats on head*
Jose Luis
good songs, without caring about what they are and what they mean... only that theu're good happy.gif
penutt
good reggae songs about masturbation with awesome/funny lyrics.
**nimrod**
Just alot of good songs, good beat etc
WalkingContradiction118
Uh I guess songs with good rythym, meaningful lyrics but at the same time somewhat funny.
stjimmysgirl221
good songs that were not just made to make a new cd
misterPG

you forgot bout the band... they have to have a good name.

just kidding.
junkie skum
Mine's the exact opposite of the thread starter's.. An album comprised of 12 completely different songs, completely unrelated, some acoustic, some electric, recorded live, no mixing whatsoever, badly produced with beautiful lyrics would be the perfect album for me.

To put it simply.. Up The Bracket

argiemic
music. simply music.
VictimOfAuthority
great music thats all that matters and something not to sappy either
randomness
i actually like every song to be different, i don't like them linking in. a good album for me would be just that overall the instruments all sound good with maybe a few decent guitar solos, i'm a sucker for guitar solos. and also a mixture of fast and slow songs.
Twist
songs with good lyrics fast drumming and cool guitar solos all wrapped up into one. and not a bunch of sad songs, but not all happy. depending on my mood.blush.gif
spark in the night
-anything that I can relate to
-something that comes from the heart, like when you're listening to it, you know that whoever wrote it truly meant it and wanted to make it perfect
-good beats and melodies
-all instruments and vocals strung together nicely and flows smoothly

ok basically, anything Green Day lol
Watoosh
my perfect album would be something different sounding that's a bit humorous and has messages leaning towards anarcho-communism, people's own stupidity, and feelings i've had that are hard to really explain.

I'd have to say songs that actually have meaning behind them, not just something completely random that has no 'depth.' Solos own me, whether it's a guitar or a drum solo, if it's really good it just makes me want to hear it again and again. I also listen a lot for like the voice and back up vocals, a good singer(s) are another thing that just completely takes me in a song. Give me Green Day, MCR, and The Living End and that pretty much wraps up everything I like in a band. (The first being Green Day of course!)
¿Whatsername?
The Artist would have had to sang and at least co-written the songs on the album (i.e. Pink co-wrote an album w/ Tim Armstrong).
xLuckystarx
Mine would have to be
-The artist has to have at least co-wrote about 4-5 songs on the cd
-The music has to be catchy
-Instruments go well together
-The lyrics are well written and aren't cheesy
-The songs have to be something I can relate to to some point
-The vocals have to be good
-All the songs have to be good
starbucksfreak
just a good meaning to every song would be a perfect album
dumbstruck27
I hate albums with 12 songs that all sound the same. They have to have variety, and each song should be catchy in it's own unique way. Also music that is different to what's popular at the moment. It's always good to hear something new and different.
Tim Luver
12 different songs
Lyricist, Billie Joe Armstrong, Paul McCartney
all i need
Nic.
Incredible lyrics, unique lead singer, great riffs. That's all I ask smile.gif
Kleptomaniac
rusted songs
ones with good bass/guitar solos and frantic drumming
you cant forget flowing vocals.

Oh and I like really descriptive lyrics, as seen here

Shadows all around you as you surface from the dark,
Emerging from the gentle grip of night's unfolding arms
Darkness, darkness everywhere, do you feel all alone?
The subtle grace of gravity, the heavy weight of stone

You don't see what you possess, a beauty calm and clear
It floods the sky and blurs the darkness like a chandelier
All the light that you possess is skewed by lakes and seas
The shattered surface, so imperfect, is all that you believe

I will bring a mirror, so silver, so exact,
So precise and so pristine, a perfect pane of glass
I will set the mirror up to face the blackened sky
So you can see your beauty every moment that you rise.

An album where I wouldn't have to bother skipping any tracks. But hey, that's what the CD burner's for.
