Alright, this topic is something I'm very interested in.
Anyway, anyone believe that the Apollo landing in '69 on the moon by Armstrong and Aldrin was a fake?
It think it's very controversial. I've found a few pages on Google about it.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apollo_moon_l...oax_accusationsThe Wikipedia page.
http://www.ufos-aliens.co.uk/cosmicapollo.htmlSite with videos.
You decide.
PS: I searched everything I could think of so sorry if something like this has already been created.

EDIT: Sorry if this is a stupid question to some.

I've researched it thoroughly and had come up with the conclusion that the people saying its fake are full of bullshit. It was a real landing and there are just some random people that think its fake its not fake I am sad to say.
But everyone has different opinion. this is just mine.

Well there is a fair bit of evidence to support the theory that it was a fake.
I found another site.

I've done this controversial issue for a presentation for my english class.
In general, I believe that it was faked because there are some evidence that are very strong that show that the landing was fake. Notice the shadows, lighting, the flag (moves from the wind), as well as small things such as the particles etc...

There sure is a lot of evidence to support the claim that it was fake. It's hard to tell but maybe one day, the truth will come out.

i've heard that it mighta been fake, but i don't have enough knowledge about outer space to know what to think. sure there is lots of evidence from that voyage that could make it SEEM fake, but do we on earth know EVERYTHING about outer space and have that knowledge to know?
why not just throw armstrong & aldrin into a lie detector test?

My brother was talking about how it might have been fake, he was watching it on the history channel. He said in the film the flag moved. Now that Warning___ has posted tis topic, I don't really know if it was fake or not.

I watched a Documentary on this about a Year ago. I believe its a fake.
The American flag, in the video is moving, yet theres no weather on the moon? They move to a completely differen't part of the moon, yet the background senery (sp) is exactly the same?
And, scientist who look and study the moon, have never seen the flag, the moon buggie, nor Neil Armstrongs Footsteps.
Neil Armstrong was my hero for a long time, I had a strange feeling after watching that documentary.
I believe they faked it to beat the Russians.

Stuff moves in space regardless of air particles, such as the planets.
The background would be the same since it's the moon, and is devoid of skyscrapers and cars and the like which would be visible in front of the camera.
Even highly respected scientists who have no bias towards the moon landings believe it happened.
Who knows, maybe they faked Apollo 13 to show how fantastic the Americans are whenever they're dealt a problem. It'd be much easier to fake Apollo 13 than the moon landing.

Are you fucking kidding me?
It is not fake.
I watched a show on the discovery channel that disproved all that conspiracy bullshit.
The flag moved because they moved it. No air up there means that there is less friction against objects, and twisting the flag into the ground will make it look like the flag is flapping in the wind. The people who think the moon landing was fake also think this is their trump card, when actually it is the best evidence that the moon landing was real.
The showdows come at different angles because, well, have you ever seen shadows on earth? They are not all parallel to each other. It all depends on the size and shape of the object
You can't see stars in the pictures because, anyone who knows anything about photography will tell you that stars will not show up on film when you have such a level of contrast like the one between space and the moon surface.
please stop listening to crazy whakos who want media attention
EDIT: think about this one too... The russians who we were in the space race with accepted that we landed on the moon. If we faked it, don't you think they would be all over us, and calling us out for faking this?

Of course it wasn't fake. Joey and Greenforaday101 (sorry man, don't know your name) already made very valid points about it.
There will always be people out there who have a theory, then find stuff to loosely support it and people will take their ideas as fact because people like to hear about huge conspiracies. It's usually the few that make the most noise and try to bring people to believe their rhetoric.
And as was said above, you really need to get unbiased facts. If you read stuff dedicated to trying to prove a conspiracy, it's pretty much a given that facts will be tied in too often and too loosely with opinion.

I agree with a what Adam Carolla has brought to my attention. If it was staged, they wouldn't have just said "One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." They would have perfected it on earh and said "On small step for A man, one giant leap ....etc"
I mean man and mankind are the same thing, but A single man and mankind, that is something.

Forget the debate about whether it's fake or real. Personally I think it's real, but what pisses me off the most is way NASA and the Russian Space Program have kept space to themselves for the last 40 years...
Did you know that when NASA is buying it's rockets from Lockheed or whoever provides them now, they bid so high that no other organization can afford to counter. That's why a) there's no privatized space program and b) NASA cost 15 times as much as it should. If the people at NASA weren't such greedy dicks, we'd have affordable space travel within our lifetimes...
That was my rant for the day, sorry if I sounded like a geek, but damnit, I want to go to the moon!

You clearly haven't heard about the New Mexico Spaceport.
http://www.space.com/news/060102_nm_spaceport.htmlNo, I know what you mean though. But i don't think it really think it's about NASA wanting to keep Space to themselves. I think it's just that it costs a shitload of money and there are enormous risks in space travel, so much so that few companies are willing to risk so much money and credibility if something were to go wrong.
They started talking about the Spaceport here in New Mexico a few years back. Last year they held their first "X-Prize Cup" a place where they show off all their stuff entering the private space travel sector. It will happen eventually. Our state is putting up a shitload of money "nearly 300 million" over the next few years to fund a space port for commercial travel. Now, the tickets to go up are still pretty outrages, nearly $200,000 per ticket. That price is expect to drop once the program starts, but it's so high to help funding the entire thing. But they are expecting some 50,000 people will fly up into space by 2020. That's 10 years after the Spaceports completion, expected in 2010. It's only about 30 minutes from here.
Not exactly to the moon, but space none-the-less.

I've heard pleanty about the N.M. Spaceport but the work they've done (as wonderful as it is) is nothing compared to what could have been done in the last 30 years. The next prize (if I'm not mistaken) is $10 million for a full orbit around the world... how long will that take? Another 20-40 years? We could be exploring Mars right now...
40 years ago it was predicted that thousands of people would be living in space in the year 2000. I know that's far fetched but you'd think that 40 years would see some progress... Right now there are a dozen people living in space... 40 years in this day and age should see more progress, look at airplanes from 1910-1950, television from 1950-1990... We should be much further than we are...
Now look what happened... I started ranting again. SORRY EVERYONE! I'm going to bed now... I'm seeing the All American Rejects tomorrow/today! Goodnight everyone!
