Start Static

Start Static' is the debut album from the Californian rock band Sugarcult. The band is made up of lead singer and guitarist, Tim Pagnotta, guitarist, Marko 72, bassist and backup vocals, Airin, and drummer, Kenny Livingston. Livingston replaced Ben Davis on drums for Sugarcult's second album 'Palm Trees And Power Lines' because of drug related issues.
'Start Static' is a CD for everyone who likes good music. It is easy to listen to and all of the songs have a distinctive catchy tune. The album is mainly about what it is like to live in this world, and Sugarcult's look at life. Since 'Start Static' Sugarcult have toured with such bands as 'Blink 182', 'Jimmy Eat World' and 'Green Day'. They are also often regulars on the 'Warped Tour'
The 11 track album covers many different aspects of modern life, weather it be false love ('You're The One'), depression ('I Changed My Name'), wanting to make something of yourself ('Stuck In America'), or just getting drunk and waking up on the bathroom floor ('Bouncing Off The Walls')
Although the songs have serious meanings they are still great to just jump around and play air guitar to. Each songs is roughly around 2 - 4 minutes long.
The CD also comes with a DVD entitled 'Action'. The DVD contains some live and home footage of the band, a photo scrapbook, music videos for the songs 'Stuck In America', 'Bouncing Off The Walls', and 'Pritty Girl (The Way)', and also a bonus audio track called 'Say I'm Sorry'.
Personally, I love this album. I think it is a fantastic piece of work and it is one of my all time favorites.
