^ Where the hell do you find the money to pay for all these? Aren't you just a college student? and don't you live in San Francisco?
Yes, I am a college student. I don't live in San Francisco, I go to school at UC Davis (near Sacramento) and I live in Vallejo (45 minutes from San Francisco).
First of all, concerts are not that expensive! Obviously, some of the ones I'm going to cost an arm and a leg, like The Police, but for most of the punk shows it's only like 12 bucks. That's like the price of a movie and popcorn.
Which is nice, because I don't go to the movies (well, sometimes I do). I don't buy McDonald's or Starbucks or anything, so when you spend 6 bucks there, I don't. It adds up. I have an awesome metabolism, I can get by on one meal a day.
In addition, 5 or 6 of those shows are free. Lots of bands and radio stations play free shows, which are awesome. Also, another 5 or 6 of those shows are at fairs, which usually only charge like 6 dollar admission. If you don't ride any rides or buy any food, it's an great deal.
Luckily, my parents take me to a few shows as well as a bonding experience kinda thing. It's pretty awesome.
And lastly, I don't buy music. I download it from Limewire. My reasoning goes that the band would rather have me see them live then buy an album. I don't know if that's true or not, but it assuages my conscience.
All in all, it's a lifestyle choice. I like spending my money on concert tickets.
