Is anyone a fan of U2? If so, what's your favorite U2 song? My favorite songs are, "Vertigo," "In the Name of Love," and "Mysterious Ways."

I like "In the name of love" and "All I want is you"...U2 kicks ass! but nope...I'm not a big fan.

"Where the Streets Have No Name" is a personal favorite of mine.

yerp I like them but I can't stand Bono. I saw them live a few months ago but I was dissapointed in the performance. It was mostly Bono doing ridiculous things that symbolized saving the world.

I like U2, but Im not a huge fan and I dont listen to them that often. My mom has a bunch of their cds though, so if shes playing it on the stereo, I listen to it, but not very deeply or anything. I dont know the names of that many songs, so I probably cant name a favorite, but in general I like the harder rocking songs more than the slower ballad like ones.

U2 is not my favourite band, but I like some of their stuff and I can't deny the fact that they have become quite big indeed. Though I haven't listened to an entire album but numerous separate songs it just seems to me like their previous material has been better than How To Dismantle and Atomic Bomb. Beautiful Day and Stuck In A Moment You Can't Get Out Of are two songs I like I can think of right now.

In fact, U2 is here in Argentina right now. After the Stones, people went all crazy again. The firsts in line waited for about 72 hs, which is just a lot, but I guess for a U2 fan knowing that you are going to be part of those 4000 people to go into the "Golden Circle" once you get into the stadium is worth the waiting. The doors opened at 15:00 and Franz Ferdinand, as the support band, played at 20:00 leaving room for Bono and Co., who went on stage at 22:00 hs. It was supposed to be amazing, with 3D show and all since the these shows were chosen to be part of a documentary or something about U2... I wouldn't know since I didn't go, but I bet it was.

I have a love/hate thing for U2; love their early, New Wave/Punk stuff like Boy and October. In my opinion, it started to go downhill when Bono and The Edge got religion, early on; Bono actually considered quitting the band because of his born-again Christian beliefs.
I saw them live last year, and while musically they were really powerful, there was no energy at all coming off Bono as a frontman, and how they beat Green Day out at Best Tour I don't know, fanbase maybe.
That said, I think Bono has maybe the most beautiful voice in rock - ok, I love Billie's voice, he has a nice pure tenor as well, and Billie's voice singing his own words is a wonderfully intimate thing, he makes it all so personal; but Bono can soar.
My favourite albums are Achtung Baby, Boy, and The Unforgettable Fire. Favourite songs, I Will Follow, Out of Control, Bad, Unforgettable Fire, Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses, Where the Streets Have No Name.
Bono bullshits too much; it pisses me off, because he's capable of great things, not the overproduced, inaccessible, dead stuff he puts out now. The only thing I like on 'Atomic Bomb' was 'Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own', the song about his father, so real it brings tears to my eyes. More of this, less of boring technical feats of mere competence, like Elevation; it's fun, but it's 'so what'?

Green Day. Tthey are good, but I agree with the earlier poster, that said their just wasnt much energy coming from Bono. Especially after seeing Green Day who have SO much energy its crazy. I still like them though.

Great band. Bono has an amazing voice and Edge can really play that guitar . Good lyrics, awesome sound quality live, great live band. Recentely saw them in October and it was the best show I've ever seen. Seriously, if you ever have the chance to see them, DO IT!! You will not be dissapointed.

Yea i like U2...they're one of my fav bands u could say...but i dont like their latest album...no offense....they're just starting to get boring..but i wouldnt be surprized if they came out with another album that totally rocked...i dont have a fav song of them...they have too many good ones...but the first one that pops into my head now is Bad..no ppl..not the song is bad....the actual song called "Bad"..lol
