well, first of all I have to admitt that i am "noob" on Megadeth. I can't imagine how i could miss them and where the fuck i was all my life. Anyways, my friend introduced me to their best stuff - Sweating Bullets, Countdown to Extinction, Holly wars, Blood of Heroes. Fucking so awesome!!!!! I was totaly blown away. Recently got an album "The System has failed" and another discovery - The Scorpion and Die Dead Enough.

I love Megadeth. Not all of the new material, maybe one or two songs from that but most of the old stuff is great. They are a good example of how talent, no matter how extraordinary, sometimes isnt enough in the music industry.

I love Megadeth. Back in the day I preferred Metallica (though I still was into Megadeth) after Metallicas black album came out I swung more towards Megadeth. Rust in Peace, Countdown to Extinction & Youthanasia are the ones I listen to the most.

Marty Friedman and Chris Poland are GODS! Mustaine is alright, very versatile guitarist and has some kick ass riffs. Pretty poor soloist, though. I'm a huge fan anyways, own the entire discography, but I hate their pop-influenced albums (Countdown to Extinction to Risk).

I still consider Countdown one of their best, it's flowless. but you know that's my opinion.

sorry I missed this earlier...I haven't heard it yet. My husband is usually really good about picking up whatever new cd they have out. I will mention it to him.

I used to like the album a LOT. Then, as I started listening to more extreme types of metal, too.. I started to like it less.. Simpler song structures, very vocal-based style, it's like the Black Album of Megadeth IMO.. It's not horrible, but just to pop-ish for my liking.

I guess i am more to softer side of metal if you could say that

It's like it's me talking, the very stuff I disliked in 90's Megadeth, even the comparison with the Black Album.. fuck! dude you're me hehe
Although that doesn't stop me from admiring tones, even if it was simpler.. I love them still but not my favorites.
I also always considered Rust In Peace to be Megadeth's Master Of Puppets and so it's my favorite Megadeth albums, it's just too damn good.. too much damn it.

Maybe it's possible one of us is a Schizophrenic and is really talking to ourselves.. myself.. Alright I'm confusing myself so I'm just gunna stop Anyways, nice "Rude Awakening" av And yeah, "Rust In Peace' was amazing, Friedman is a god and the "Tornado of Souls" solo is one of my all time favorite metal solos.

I loaded 20 gigs worth of their live videos from very early years till 2006 and some of the official videos. I am thinking of letting you guys see some of their cool stuff. I would be uploading Tornado of souls first, then Conjuring from 92
