They're incomplete!

It's just all so horrible.

Everyone's going to miss him, I feel sorry for Kelsey because she never got the opportunity to see them live

But, as people are saying on their community board, he didn't seem... himself on the AP tour or when he was here in March, but since as that was my first time meeting them, I couldn't really compare it to another time before that.

I... just don't know. I mean, whatever he chooses to do, I'll back him up with it, but no one could replace him, not ever.

I hadn't seen them in so long, so I wasn't able to see if Justin was acting differently on their recent tours. I wanted to see them so badly, and now this happened.

But they're still going to tour in the fall I guess. But how? Who honestly can make the Matches complete again?

I feel bad for everyone who never got to see them live before this tragedy.

I'm near Castro Valley where Shawn supposedly lives, and yesterday when we were driving I couldn't help but look for him and wonder if I'd see him wandering down the street.

Awwwww.... now I really miss the boys. But it will never be the same.

Well, you know what? I think this is maybe the reason why they weren't playing the Warped Tour this year, they may have known for a little while about him wanting to go but waited for the 'right time' to release press about it.

I just think it's a shame, but obviously Justin has grown out of it, but you can't help but wonder why he really wanted to leave the band.

Ahhh dude, one of my friends who lives in San Lorenzo... I think it's that... it's about 10 minutes from Oakland, she said she was on her way to the gym, and when she got there, she saw a guy in the passenger seat in a car that just kinda left just as she got in, and the guy looked JUST LIKE SHAWN, so... she may have seen him. I just feel sorry for the rest of them, it's going to be so hard touring without him.

I agree, they probably saw it coming and didn't want to be in the middle of a big tour like warped or something.

At least I have a peace of mind about this, I really wish Justin all the best of luck, he deserves it.

They still have shows up, so obviously they have a replacement bassist (for the time being, anyway) all set up, so I think they're going to be fine.

Yeah, exactly. I mean, they would've known for about at least a month or so that he was leaving, and that's why they weren't on Warped, and all of the shows that they're doing are September and beyond.

I'm gonna cry when I see them later this year and Justin won't be there.

Yeah, San Lorenzo's not too far from here. The East Bay is pretty compact anyways. Actually, the whole Bay Area is.

It's definitely going to be weird not seeing Justin play with them, I'm just pissed that I didn't get to meet him more than I have done... Once is definitely not enough

I just got back from the Welcome Concert at USC with my friend Alex, and I must say, Dylan really fits in nicely with the band. At first I was thinking about how much I missed Justin, but as soon as they started playing, I realized that Dylan really fits the band. He made a couple slip ups, but I could tell he was really really nervous. The Matches were great as usual, and after the show Alex and I met Dylan and shook hands, but he wanted to find his little sister so we didn't really get to talk. He's really nice. I like him a lot. I nearly talked to Shawn too, because he kept looking at us during the show, but he was too intimidating with his staring so Alex and I couldn't gather up the courage to strike up a conversation. I got a crapload of blurry pictures of Dylan that aren't worth posting, otherwise I'd put them up in the picture thread. But I can't wait until he's accustomed to playing with the band and he comes out of his shell a little more.

My friend's got a ticket for the Melbourne show. It makes me mad at them, because they seem to love playing home turf (obviously) but also Australia.
They've done 2 tours in the US this year and been over to Aus twice... it's like.. what the fuck happened to England all of a sudden?
according to Ben, they have no plans to tour the UK at all.
