The Matches are one of my favorite bands right now. I unfortunately only have Decomposer, but I want to get the other two soon. My favorite song would have to be either Sunburn vs. the Rhinovirus or Didi (My Doe, Part 2)

I'm listening to Sunburn right now. i LOVE that song.. well, Decomposer is such an amazing album, one of my favourites.

I had Proctor Road stuck in my head all day Saturday. Seriously. And it was annoying because that song is so short so I couldn't skip around with the lyrics and stuff like I can on other longer songs, and also it was stuck for a good fourteen hours straight.

And also today I sat around my second period class listening to E. Von Dahl all class period. It was pretty amazing. I love my teacher for letting us listen to our ipods. The Matches made my day.

I went to the AP Tour last week and loved it. Prior to the show I ran into Shawn while he was drawing!!! I was like "umm... I don't mean to interrupt, but is there a good email address I can send the pictures I take tonight to?" He was like "Yeah , sure..." So we exchanged emails and talked for a bit. He said for me to meet him after they played...

I went over and talked to him again afterwards... He's just so nice... I was telling him about my graphic design stuff and wanted his opinion on a few things... He was really helpful and wanted me to email him when I get my website up and everything. Then he said to keep in touch. Ahh, I was so excited! I'm sending the pictures tonight, I hope he likes them.

Hahaha, well. Brief explination. I was talking to this woman, and she knows how much I like Shawn, anyway, we were just conversing in messages, when I randomly got that message, so I saw Ben online at the time, and thought I'd send it to him.

Also, i got a message from the daughter in question, who said I should ignore her mom, she's a girl and his friend, but she's not Shawn's girlfriend. But I still thought that that message was uncalled for, even if it was a joke.

Thing is, this girl, Alison messaged me this morning on how she'd been dating this guy from Oakland, and she knew how her mom would never approve, so based him on a fictional person.... well, turns out that she told her MOM that she was DATING Shawn... i mean, wtf?

I was actually wondering what the situation is with European Reps atm?
I know they had that up and going during Decomposer,but Im a bit out of the loop and wondering which flyers/stickers etc. to use and perhaps who to report to(if necessary):]

Well, right now....
I have no idea. I mean, the only stickers that are really available right now are on the Epitaph fan team store. You need to earn 100 points in order to get 10 stickers. I have no idea how I gained enough points, but i have 20, well like 15 left.
I mean, once my cash is running again, I might design some stickers, and send them the design and see if they like it. Hopefully I'll be able to send some out so you can stick them in places like public loos and such... haha oh and on windows, melons in Tesco and dog bins.

Though it isn't etched on skin just yet, I came up with this design for my doe, Amber.
She came up with an idea and I just drew it out. I hope she likes it. And I like it so much, that I really want to get it done as well.
( for those of you who want to know, yes I drew it, then i uploaded it to photoshop and just coloured it in and brought it to life. )

matches tattoos are few, but very cool. and i really really like yours. it's very clever, and i like the crow.

Wow, that's awesome! I have total respect as well for your friend now. There's maybe only 20 people that I've seen, only a little bit more, but yeah, that have Matches tattoos. I've seen this woman with a line from Salty Eyes on the back of her shoulder, there's some great concepts for tattoos out there too. Well, I'll be creating more, I'd love to design merch for them, though I think they get other people to do that for them if they don't have the time.

Austrailian Tour

I seriously thought that the matches were on warped tour. Yesterday, I just realized that they weren't and now I'm devastated!!! I was so exctited to see them, I dunno why I thought they were on it haha.

I thought they were on Warped too.

So you're not the only one who's disappointed the boys won't be touring this summer.

You're both right, they're not appearing on the Warped Tour this year, despite having a track on the album for this years record. I guess they just would like a summer off, as they've been pretty hectic this year, flying around to america, then england, then BACK to America, then to Australia.. then Japan... now they're going to be in Australia for a headlining tour.

Ugh, hopefully my friend will give him the letter i'm going to write out and he'll read it? I don't know

When I found out, I wanted to cry or something. My best friend feels like the world is ending. The Matches were everything to her. I don't know what to do. It's really personal because I have seen them so many times, and I knew them.

WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?!



On a lighter note, I'm currently sitting in my aunt's house in the East Bay, and I keep wanting to see Shawn even though he's not here.

But wow, I can't believe that Justin's gone. He was always so cool and had a unique bass playing style that I doubt anyone could replicate or come close to on future albums (have you ever looked at tabs for their first cd??? They could make your fingers bleed!!!).
