but I must say, this album is way up there too

my best friend eryn is friends with the band, and she recieved a copy of the album a few weeks ago and sent me a burned copy. i absolutely love a band in hope. it's my favorite matches album and I've been listening to the matches for a very long time and i'm somewhat an aquaintance of theirs through eryn. haha.

oh yeah, and shawn isn't singing on darkness rising. it's jon.

I've been listening to them for awhile now..I'm ciked for the new record. Good stuff.

Of course it's Jon singing on Darkness Rising. Shawn sings the backing vocals "I'll be here."

But I love this album, I feel like getting at least 3 copies!! Well, I'm getting 2 so far, the Australian import and the Uk version hopefully on Thursday or Friday, depending if they sell it anywhere in my town... if not I'm going to beg my fam to go to Milton Keynes on saturday and buy me a copy!! Hahaha, but it's all worth it. I mean, when I first heard Wake The Sun, I was in love with it... then I was like... yeah i really like that song, but since seeing them perform that song live, it's just a really great song. I mean, wow, the video, even though budget, which is best, is a really great and arty video in my eyes. These guys are amazing... I'm so glad I knew of them before now... but still almost 2 years (this August) isn't long enough.
Their concert last week that I attended was actually the best i've ever been to, and they're so lovely in person, I feel like writing loads about them, like I am right now.. But I so wanted them to play Point me Towards The Morning, but they didn't.
Still, if you ever get a chance to see them live, I suggest you grab that chance by the BALLS!! Just don't grab them by the balls.... Okay? Hahaha. But yeah, I also want to get the Japanese import, as it also has a bonus song, just like the AUS version, and the English iTunes has 2 bonus songs... a remix of Yankees and also My Didi, Pt 1.

It's an amazing album, but I don't believe what absolutepunk said about it being 'polarizing' at all. I mean, sure it's a heck of a lot different to their past two albums, but that's what's great about it! They don't care about challenging perceptions of them, trying out new things.. Kudos to them, and my long rant is ovurrrr. haha.

I did upload it for the kids on The Matches Community board... but because of DRM, it won't play to anyone outside the UK.... weird.

My Didi, Pt 1 was originally a poem written by Shawn, and it's actually in a punk poem book or something.. I'll get more details later.

and ahhh!! I'll have 4 copies of this by next week!! 2 from eBay, one AUS and one US version.. one is going to be a copy I get for FREE thanks to Kerrang! and their £50 voucher for Play.com I won last year, that they've only sorted out now properly, because last year it didn't work...
and the 4th will be one from out of my MONEY and make sure that the number counts.. hahaha oh man.

and i realized that i have the AP issue with The Matches as the main article when Decomposer came out. i never realized i did, either. that made me happy because i'm finally starting to like Decomposer.

I kept hearing how good they were from people in here so I decided to give them a try. Asked for recommendation so as what songs to get first, and here I am now, completing Decomposer.

Anyway, I'm making a mix CD for my mums friend, I'm thinking what songs to put on, to get an even mix on there.

I still don't know what papers and things I need on moving to the States... I wanna move around the San uhh shit... it's just outside of Oakland... area of the Bay, or around Castro Valley. Oakland is too rough, and San Francisco would be too expensive.

And oh yes, I've still yet to recieve my physical copy in the post... 3 COPIES!!! May buy a fourth.. but I love it. I also think that Proctor Road should be longer too.... a minute over is just not enough for that.
