Alkaline Trio makes you wanna drink huge amounts of alcohol and shoot yourself in the face - in a good way!
My favorite-band for 6 months and counting, Matt Skiba is god (or the anti-christ)

I have From Here To Infirmiary and Good Mourning. Very good albums. Crimson is crap though.
Seen them live 4 times, and I have to say they were pretty disappointing each time. Except maybe the 4th, which was actually quite good, and easily the best of the 4.

I haven't listened to many songs but I pretty much like what I've heard so far, meaning This Is Getting Over You, Time To Waste, Prevent This Tragedy, Hell Yes and Radio. Apart from that, I've read some lyrics from Phoebe's sig and some others she's posted, and I've got to say they are really good and have a lot of meaning to me at least, of course, the ones I've read which aren't many and I don't even remember what songs they belong to.

alkaline trio is alright. they have a good somg here and there but
most of their songs sound the same which is disappointing. maybe
if their songs were not all the same in an essence they would be better.
they are just another pop punk band to me.

what the fuck is WRONG WITH THEM
THEY'RE BETTER THAN THAT.

Jan 21 2006, 01:40 AM
A band called Sunshine opened for them, some guys we stood with threw mints and marmalade at them. a mint got stuck on the cloth covering some equipment, and we all cheered

Then some dude called Mike Park came on, and gace us this really sweet set, that dude was awesome. He played a slideshow of everyone he looked up to, including MR MIYAGI (wax on wax off) and the crowd went crazy. He played a really cool acousticy set.
Alk3 opened with Back To Hell and everyone was just on fire.
I loved it. There was cups of water and joints being passed round everywhere, I came out smelling like beer sweat and smoke.
That's the way to do it.

My favourite song of thiers has to be Maybe I'll Catch Fire, purely becuase when they performed it live it just shone above all the others.
I also never realised just how much vocals Dan does, almost more than Matt, if not More!

The only CD of theirs I have is Crimson, and I think it's pretty good. My favorites on that album are Mercy Me and Dethbed (you'd think their record label would offer spellcheck -

)

my stepson got me into them, and I only have Crimson after hearing him play "time to waste", but I presumed Dethbed was spelt that way intentionally??
