Not a diss, a classification. Obviously there is no artistic talent or value to his music, to critique it lyric by lyric would be completely pointless. It's kitsch sold as kitsch. To insult Justin Bieber would be to act like he falls within the realm of art at all, which would be stupid.
Just like I wouldn't compare child's play car to actual cars with engines and rate it in terms of performance, I wouldn't compare child play music to music. Made for 10 year olds, liked by 10 year olds, everyone else ignores, everyone is happy.

I totally agree with John the problem is unfortunately is he is considered and artist and lots of people like him... yes you cant compare toy cars to real cars well because its not, but if people all of a sudden (out of stupidity) decide they will use toy cars as a mode of transportation then all of a sudden that toy car is real (a very bad one but still real)....
What should have been, no longer is and we are now faced with the reality that he is an "artist" and supposedly makes "music" =/ .... In saying that i personally dont care much about him or much of he popular music these days coz lets face it, its all fucking shit..

This basically sums it all up, nice one John I cant really add anymore to this. I believe he has become successful through the cuteness factor, and this is mainly aimed towards a female audience. All my friends that are fans are female and their main reason for supporting him is because he is cute, not that his music is exceptional or anything. Yes it is catchy, but catchy for children. He is a promoters dream due to this.

Ya I used to think he looked like one of those scarry puppets with the moving chins last year, but my gym, like some one pointed out in a different thread, brainwashed me  sometimes I don't know whether to cry or smile awkwardly...

but i don't think any green day fan should diss justin bieber. 5-6 years ago, it would have been "GREEN DAY ARE FAGS" not "JUSTIN BIEBER IS A FAG". We all know how that felt/feels.

I don't understand why people 'hate' him. You have every right to not like his music and stuff, but to hate him? What did he do to you? I feel bad for him being so hated by people for no reason. If you don't like his music or anything, don't listen or pay attention to him and leave him alone.

Yeah and even my little sister who really does not like him said, " oh not Justin Bieber, wait is this live? He's good live....but I still don't like him." and that was yesterday while also watching Ellen...lol

And I don't like his fans much either.
Most of them are arrogant, and completely ignorant to the fact that people have different opinions from them. The other day I had someone on my formspring trying to tell me Justin Bieber was better than Green Day. And they said something about him actually caring for his fans, so I debated back - as you would - giving examples of how Green Day care for their fans, but they couldn't give one example of how Justin Bieber cares for his. They're typical fan girls really, my friend is a huge fan and she even admits to picking up on pointless arguments with people that dislike him.

I agree, I don't think I could ever put my self in the typical fan group for Justin Bieber, I'm my own party I guess, but no way in hellll is he better than Green Day, ugh, that makes me sick....

Um, yeah, I'd be pretty much in the line with this  but i dont agree with it because A) I'm sorry, I know he's cute, but he is not THAT cute- he's a Mammy's boy, and tbh he looks an awful lot like quite a few 14/15/16 year olds where I am and B) WTF is with the obsessive trending on Twitter? I mean really?
And neither of these reasons have much to do with his music  meh, I'm sure I wouldnt mind it if I had to live with it long enough. There's worse out there.

musically, he's just another disney-like popstar.
I dont get how people fall for this everytime, when I was young, it started wit backstreet boys, nsync, britney, christina aguilera etc...
then it was hilary duff, lindsay lohan...now its jonas brothers, hannah montana, justin bieber, high school musical kids etc...
same thing over again, just a trend, they dont contribute to music in any way :/

I don't know, I see the majority of his fans like him just because he's 'cute' and not his music. I think if you're going to like a singer/band, like them for their music, not looks.

But all the hate is probably the thing that makes him so popular.
No one will care for him in a few years anyway.
