Too funny!! Based on their (esp. Billie's) inebriated state last night, it seems there might actually be cause to worry about that!

I was thinking the same thing myself! laugh.gif

I ran across this picture/brief article http://laist.com/2008/05/27/foxboro_hot_tub.php about the folks in line at the Roxy today, while I was looking for an updated video from a San Diego newscast last night. And here's a link to the Roxy's Flickr page which has several pics of folks in line for the show. http://www.flickr.com/photos/theroxyblog/ (Btw, I posted some newscast/article/video links about last night's Belly Up Tavern show in two separate messages over on the San Diego thread on page 3 if you're interested.)

How disappointing it was to read a few messages up in this LA thread about so many tickets going to 'industry folks'! Yes, it's LA, but isn't FHT's whole ticket policy, day-of, $20 cash, meant to keep the shows available and geared toward the die-hard fan and not those who can pay scalper prices or "know someone who knows someone"?!?! Saving so many tickets for industry folks, when others are giving up many hours (and goodness knows what else) to make sure they get their golden opportunity to see the band, seems totally wrong. down.gif If they want to cater to the entertainment industry then throw another gig just for them. After all, I'm sure half of them would just be blabbing through the whole show anyway. Darn shame I say, darn shame. I really will feel for any fan that spends all that time in line then might not make the cut...sure hope no one allows that to happen. sad.gif

The Roxy may think they are going to give lots to industry folks, but FBHT may have discussed that with them when they arrived. I remember in Phoenix, the Brick House management was originally planning to sell vouchers at 3:00, but when the band management spoke to them, they totally changed their plans and did everything exactly as it was done in Little Rock. So, let's hope that's what's happening tonight! Also, there were grills in front of the stage higher than waist height (for some of us), and we were originally told that security required they stay there. But after FBHT arrived and did their sound check, those were removed. Our awesome personal security guard, Travis, told us the band inisisted they be taken away. It made all the difference in the world! Any updates? I would think people are getting inside by now...

According the Roxy site, the doors opened about an hour ago and just a few minutes ago they said there are still some tickets available.

It's cool that he re-used his Harry Potter Halloween costume.

The robe looks Harry Potteresque.

I stand by my initial comment.

Past few times it's been 10:30. Depends on how many bands play before hand. One band is 10:30, 2 is probably around 11, and three is probably around 11:30.

*sigh* Tonight's show is the one I wanted to fly down to see, but I'm stuck here at fucking work, waiting to see how the show went...

I just hope someone saw my post before where I asked if anyone would be kind enough to pick up the Mother Mary record and try and get it signed for me... if not, maybe someone going to a final show can be wonderful enough? *prays*

so I just got home and it was the best concerts I've ever been to in my entire life! And I will always remember it!!! The kid with the hat and coat I was next to him in line! He was in front of me! Haha

Anyways so the only thing I could think of saying is during the last song I some how made it up on stage! Billie asked everyone to come up and pretty much everyone did!!! And I held billie's hand!!!!!! It was amazing and after the song was done I just left I was tired and sweaty and I was pretty happy about getting on stage and holding billie's hand! LOL

There was so much energy from the guys! Diving into the crowd and playing random songs and chants!
I will post more when its daylight....or someone else who was there will have more details!
goodnight!

I just got back. My friend and I got on stage during blood sex and booze and billie had us sing a couple "whoas" with him. Amazing experience. I got to meet Billie, Tre and Adrienne before the show. We spoke to Mike afterwards. I am an euphoric state right now. I was number 66 in line and that twelve hour wait, despite my completely sunburt arms, was well worth it. I will make a more in depth update after I get some sleep.

Okay, QUICK recap: (more later)
-got interviewed by Kerrang! magazine (and they took my pic) while standing in line
-got there at 2:30pm and waited until 10:00 pm for FBHT to FINALLY come out!!
-crowd was crazy and i was determined, so i made me way to the front of the stage and got pulled on stage by Mr. Billie Joe Armstrong!!!!
-while on stage the first time i jumped around like an idiot and sang part of Shes a saint not a celebrity with Mr. Jason White!!! Dude!!!!!!
-and after i got kicked off i got back on the floor with the crowd and pushed my way back to the front where Mike and Billie continuously poured beer on the crowd and i got soaked. biggrin.gif
- and of course Billie stage dived a whole lot, right on top of me, so i ruffled his hair a thousand times, grabbed his necklaces, and just grabbed him a lot!
-then during a quick one while hes away, their last song, billie pulled like 20 people up on stage and i needed to get back up there so i was at the front and there was this big guy on the stage, so i stuck out my hand and looked at him, and he saw me a pulled me up! so i jumped around some more with the crowd on the stage :]
-and at the end when they were kicking people off the stage, tre cool finally got up and he walked right by me, rubbed me when he walked by, and i patted his back and kept yelling, its tre! tre cool! I was so out of it.

- so ALTOGETHER, i got interviewed by a magazine company in the UK, i got pulled on stage by billie, sang with jason and hugged Bj a whole bunch and danced around with him, when i got back down and back to the front mike handed me the microphone and i just yelled woo! and he said no! does somebody know? and handed it to someone else. (i had no idea what he wanted me to say) and i patted tre cool on the back, touched mikes bass 6-7 times and shook his finger right before i left :] , smiled at the new guitar player and he waved back, and looked at Jason White a million times and we sang at eachother and it was amazing. and i also saw DJ Rosstar a bunch of times.

AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH best night ever. Ever.

First, Andres, sorry, I just couldn't make it to the merch table.

Second, the most amazing show I have ever been to, just can't even describe it. I was up front for only 2 songs, could not take the crush, but got beer poured on me by Billie and got to grasp his hand. So I ended up in the back of the room after waiting all day just so I'd get up front.
But you've all read it in the other shows, the hugging and kissing and grasping and groping and drinking and dancing, just a wild, insane time. One girl actually got on stage without her top, just her bra, haha!
Billie was swallowed up by the crowd onstage a couple of times, couldn't even see him, people hugging and kissing and dancing and rubbing his hair, he was having so much fun, just grinning and singing through it all.
Time for an Excedrin, just wanted to post a quickie, back to sleep.zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

That is so awesome you got to meet them after the show. At Phoenix, neither Billie or Tre' came out, but we were very fortunate to talk to Mike for quite some time. He was very genuine, and told us that they were thoroughly enjoying themselves. Were you able to get a picture with Billie. I so wish I could have. What was the just of your conversation. Gosh, i miss Billie so much. That intimate experience still has me under a spell. Most incredible man on earth.

Oh my, I didn't know you went to the show. I was so wrapped up in my own experience, I haven't been following the other show thread until last night.Wasn't it incredible to be so close to billie, and to actually touch him. So glad you got to go.
