From Los Angeles
Coming south from Los Angeles to Hwy 5 (Interstate 5) take the Lomas Santa Fe exist, go right (west) about 3/4 miles to Cedros. Turn left. You’ll see the Belly Up about 1 block down on the right side. (Additionally, you may want to consider riding the train to the Coaster stop)
From downtown San Diego
Coming north from San Diego on Hwy 5 (Interstate 5) take the Via de la Valle exit, go left (west) about 3/4 miles to Cedros Ave. Turn right. You’ll see the Belly Up about 1/2 mile down the street on the left. (Additionally, you may want to consider riding the train to the Coaster stop)
Yeah the closest airport is San Diego, the show is about 25 minutes from the airport. If you guys go early, there is a great Pizza and beer place very close to the Belly Up called Pizza Port. They have excellent hand crafted beers, I recommend the honey beer very highly. All my best, see you guys at the show. Also, for those that do not know, this is a very small venue. I think it holds about 350. Here are directions for the out of towners..... peace!

Where's a good place to park? Is this a train that leads from convenient parking to the venue?

There is parking at the venue, for free. There is a train station about a ten minute walk from the venue, this would be known as the Solana Beach stop on the San Diego coaster. There is also free parking at the train station.

Hey DJ: I'm flying in from Seattle. Have a hotel for LA but haven't booked San Diego yet. Where are you staying that's so good and close? Is it cheep? (LA sure ain't.) I'm pretty sure I saw you at the Anaheim PHGP show and your reviews were great. Need to book a room in Long Beach, too.

Holy Hell Leanne! How'd you swing that!? Excellent! I'll see you there!
Also, it looks like the Belly Up changed their policy for this show. They won't be selling tickets at the box office at noon. It will be a line up, pay, and enter when the doors open at 7pm.

That's really the best way, that's the same as the way they handled it at Juanitas.
There was scalping going on last night in Austin.

Me, too!!! The way it worked in Little Rock was great. It was the true die-hard fans who got in and got the best spots - not the people with the most money. And I think that's the whole idea behind handling the admission this way.

I don't want to say the name of the hotel through GDA. Email me if you'd like! It's probably the closest one to the venue though. After 14 years of being a fanatic and going to every possible show and TV appearance, I'm not missing these 3 shows!

To everyone who's going, have fun with the Foxboro Hot Tubs and the Reverend! I'll see you next time!

I really wanted to go to another show and so I've been researching flights to all the different venues and it turns out that the San Diego flight is the cheapest

Do I read right...you're coming back from Ireland a second time to see more Hot Tubs? That's crazy cool. Makes a measly three-show stand from Seattle lame in comparison. Hope I get to meet you. (I'm the fat old go go girl with the gray haired hippie friend.) When my friends and co workers question my sanity, I want to say I met someone crazier
I'm still concerned about arriving at 3 or 4 but was heartened to hear it holds 600. We're gettin' in, don't care, no matter what!

Leanne is still in San Francisco...I'm not sure any of us are THAT crazy.

I'm here in line with Janine. We got here a little after 9 and there were about 100 people in front of us. WTF? It's been pretty well publicized as Green Day around these parts. So it certainly looks like we'll get in, but it's going to be a long day. I'm stealing some poor soul's wi-fi here in the parking lot, but I'll try to update when I can.
At least it's a decent sized club. ~500 I'm told, and sure to be sold out.
